Graduate Students
Wil Wilson
Wil is a M.S. student in Integrative Biology studying the relationship between microbiome and host health for fish exposed to complex mixtures of PFAS. Will holds dual B.A. degrees in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and Anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder, and brings years of experience from time spent working in both industry and museums.
Mike Beitner
Mike is a M.S. student in the Master of Integrated Sciences working on approaches to co-assemble and evaluate hybrid short-read / long-read shotgun metagenomics data. Mike holds a B.S. in Organismal Biology and Ecology (2018) with a minor in Asian Studies from Colorado College. His core research interests lie at the intersection of statistics, data science, and evolutionary ecology. He brings laboratory and experimental design experience from previous roles as a Botany Technician in the New Mexico Bureau of Land Management and as a Chemistry Lab Technician at Edgewise Therapeutics. In his free time, Mike enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and trying new recipes.

Soumaya is an Undergraduate student majoring in Public Health and minoring in Chemistry and Biology on the pre-medicine track. She is working on the 1,4-dioxane project.
Faris Bannoura
Faris is a third-year Biology major with a minor in Chemistry pursuing a pre-medicine track. He is working on the 1,4-dioxane project.
