Adrienne is a student in the PhD Program in Integrative and Systems Biology.
Adrienne is developing and utilizing high-throughput sequencing and computational approaches to explore microbial communities via 16S, metagenomic, and metatranscriptomic sequencing in a variety of environments, including:
- gastrointestinal tracts of fish challenged with environmental pollutants, and
- freshwater wetlands important for global carbon cycling.
David is a MS student in the Biology Master of Science program. He is studying the ecology of a newly described, broadly distributed phylum of archaea in a variety of environments using computational tools and large-scale publicly available sequencing data.
Kendra is a student in the Master's Program in Biomedical Sciences & Biotechnology. She is working on the Golden Retriever Microbiome project.
Nihal is an undergraduate double major in Psychology and Biology. She is working on using EMIRGE to identify microbial contaminants in mammalian sequencing experiments.
